Dear Compatriots,
Dear friends of Switzerland

Welcome to the site of the Swiss Embassy In the State of Kuwait, which is also competent for the State of Qatar and the Kingdom of Bahrain, three countries with which Switzerland maintains excellent relations.

As economic ties have strongly developed over the past two decades, political dialogue is nowadays a living reality, while thousands of Kuwaiti, Qatari and Bahraini citizens travel to Switzerland, many of them regularly, to enjoy its rich diversity, highly sophisticated industries, buoyant culture and incomparable landscapes.

While the number of bilateral official visits and delegations is constantly increasing, many of Kuwaitis, Qataris and Bahrainis have chosen to give education to their sons and daughters in Switzerland, which is contributing to forging an even stronger link of mutual understanding and friendship between Switzerland and the people of these three countries of the GCC.

As Ambassador, I cannot but rejoice about these happy developments and would like here to thank all Kuwaiti, Qatari and Bahraini citizens for choosing Switzerland and its people as a destination and partner, respectively.

Visa for the State of Kuwait, the State of Qatar and the Kingdom of Bahrain can easily be obtained by Swiss nationals holding regular passports upon arrival at the airports, while GCC citizens can enter Switzerland if they are holding a valid Schengen visa.
